I’m an older girl and I had to wait a long time for a new family. I even went to a PetSmart adoption day with the Chesapeake Humane folks, but still didn’t find a home. However, my luck changed just after Christmas and I was adopted by a wonderful family! I am the luckiest girl … not only do I have kids to play with, but I now have a Chow mix buddy to play with, too! I certainly received a great Christmas present, and I am so thankful to my new family!

I was born on a farm and when cold weather set in, my siblings and I were taken in by a good samaritan. We spent some time at the Chesapeake Humane Society growing up and waiting for a new home. I was adopted right before Christmas by a wonderful family ... I’m not sure that I was what the dog had in mind as his Christmas gift, but as you can see, we are great friends now!

I was adopted just before Christmas at the Chesapeake PetSmart, which explains the spelling of my name! When I was first adopted, I didn't like to be touched at all - I didn't purr and I did not like to be held. However, after a few months, I began to trust my family and began asking for attention by meowing intently. My family says I've been a purr-ball ever since - I even sleep with them each night!
